Here is the second Matt’s Indie Playlist I’ve prepared for this month and for this blog. To be honest, it is one of the most stacked weekly playlists I’ve made, largely due to the incredible amount of music being released this month. Gotta love it. MIP 57: September I (2013)

Awhile back I began tracking indie music releases like it was my full-time job. I found tracks and albums that I enjoyed and that I felt my friends and family would enjoy too. As a result, I began creating weekly playlists called “Matt’s Indie Playlists” (“MIPs”) dating back to August of last year (which explains why this is MIP #57).

MIPs are weekly playlists of 25 songs that I compile and distribute to my friends’ ears. Every month there are four original track playlists and one remix playlist. I listen to hundreds of songs each week and narrow down what I like to 25 tracks. Unfortunately, not every artist/record label promotes songs through SoundCloud. For instance, this week six songs could not be found in SoundCloud (too new). I will list the remaining tracks each week.

My confidence in the quality of music and my musical taste has led me to create my playlists in SoundCloud and to create this blog as a medium to share them. Maybe it will open some doors down the road. Please share my MIPs and let me know what you think. MIP 57 is below.
